NASI KANDAQ FEST 3.0 RETURNS WITH ITS STRONGEST LINE-UP YET — CELEBRATING DATUM JELATEK SHOPPING CENTRE’S 3RD ANNIVERSARY WITH NINE NASI KANDAR LEGENDS

KUALA LUMPUR — FriedChillies is proud to announce Nasi Kandaq Fest 3.0, presented in partnership with Datum Jelatek Shopping Centre, taking place on 29–30 November 2025 at Datum Jelatek Shopping Centre in celebration of the mall’s 3rd anniversary. This year’s edition brings together nine nasi kandar legends from Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Johor — the festival’s strongest line-up to date — supported by PRESMA (Persatuan Pengusaha Restoran Muslim Malaysia) and the Nasi Kandaq Hunters (NKH) FB community group.

Building on the momentum of last year’s festival, Nasi Kandaq Fest 3.0 offers fans a full weekend of heritage flavours, live demonstrations, community activities and family fun — all staged at Datum Jelatek as part of the mall’s 3rd anniversary celebrations.

RM3 Nasi Kandar at 3:33pm — a special RM3 nasi kandar promotion available for 333 pax on both Saturday and Sunday (Don’t miss this first come, first served highlight).
Best Dressed Competition — show your style, win prizes.
Makan competitions — for the brave and the hungry.
Kids’ colouring contest & family activities.
Live music & stage programmes, cooking demos and teh tarik/cendol showcases.

A Powerful Line-Up of 9 Lejens

FriedChillies and NKH have curated 9 legendary vendors that represent different strands of the nasi kandar story — Penang classics, KL stalwarts and Johor favourites. The festival line-up includes returning favourites and newly invited lejen such as Deens Maju (Jalan Gurdwara, Penang), Nasi Kandar Kampung Melayu (Penang), Pelita (Chai Leng Park), Kudu, Hameediyah, LC (Line Clear) Kampung Baru, Nasi Kandaq Talam (Johor), Nasi Kandar Bawah Pokok (Penang) and the newly relocated Ibramsha. Each vendor will bring signature dishes and in some cases special festival-only lauks as part of their appearances. Full lejen details are in the organisers’ working document. )
